Job Description
- Successful candidates will be expected to:
- Teach and facilitate learning in their respective specialist areas.
- Develop, review, and implement course content in line with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) curriculum and other relevant standards.
- Prepare lesson plans, assessments, examinations, and learning materials.
- Supervise students during classroom, laboratory, simulation, and clinical learning experiences.
- Mentor students and support their academic and professional development.
- Participate in curriculum development, research, quality assurance, accreditation exercises, and other academic activities of the College.
- Maintain accurate academic records and perform other duties assigned by the College Management.
Qualifications and Requirements: Applicants must possess:
- Registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a current practising licence issued by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
- A recognized post-basic qualification in the relevant specialty:
- Cardio-thoracic Nursing
- Peri-operative Nursing
- Paediatric Nursing
- A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing Science (B.N.Sc.) or higher qualification. Possession of a postgraduate degree will be an added advantage.
- Relevant teaching and clinical experience in the specialty area.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrable commitment to academic excellence, professionalism, and ethical practice.
